      Bayonets!

      Hi,

Would a medic who is unarmed be issued a K98 bayonet? How were bayonets distributed, would anyone get one, or would only those armed with K98's get them?

      Thanks!

                        Bouquets

                        Hi,
Some of my K98 Bayonets. All are not sharpened and the standard models are with matching number.
One finds there of all : police bayonets, commercial, Km etc....

                        Kind regards

There are some incredible collections shown here as well as beautiful and rare examples. There is nothing so rare or impressive in my collection but thought I'd show a few anyway.

First are three dated 39, 40, and 41, top to bottom. The 39 is a Carl Eickhorn. The 1940 in the center is mis-matched, never the less they are special to me. The 1939 was bought for $1.50 from a Mohawk Arms catalog when I was 15. The 40 was a present from my dad when I was 16. It was sharpened, the only bayonet I have which was, and the edge is quite sharp. The 1941 was brought back from the war by my wife's grandfather.

Last, one recently shown on another thread. This example was picked up at El Alamein by an Australian soldier.
