    Low boots identification help please.

I've never studied footwear and have very little expertise in that area. On a whim I purchased this pair of low boots at the Arlon Belgium militaria show in 2002 because they "looked old enough" and were not expensive. They've sat in the closet since and I never gave them much thought. I was wondering if the forum could kindly let me know what the heck I have here.

There are no discernable markings inside or out, other than "Matador" and an M in a circle (for Matador I would imagine) stamped on the heel.

    Thanks in advance!

These are not issue German boots, but something from another country.

Thanks! For all I know is they could be some kind of random civilian work boots from the 1950's.
