    .22 caliber cleaning kit

This can is a nice find, its a .22 caliber cleaning kit, notice the size of the cleaning brush and the ends of the cleaning chain. I think somewhere I also have an extra .22 chain.

          Late war

Here are two late war cans one marked rco 45 and the other 64, both are waffen ampted ( I have no idea what "64" means ). In the "64" the chain and late war oiler were found... notice the finish of the chain!

Nice cans all and a good thread idea Willi. Wow Robert, that .22 can has to be scarce.

                Bakelite containers

Here are two bakelite containers and to be candid I know little about them.

Very nice Robert. That .22 kit is very unique, same maker as the one started this thread with......G.Appel. Those Bakelite kits are also unique, I suspect the marked one could be commercial.

                        Carl,
Very nice site VERY nice! I did not see the version of chain I posted next to my late war sheet metal oiler... have you seen it before?

                        Thanks!

                          1945 cleaning kit

                          Willi,
I also have a 1945 dated M34 cleaning kit. The ordnance tan finish is not as clean as your example. The 3 letter code is very faint and hard to make out but they appear to be 'bco'. It has all the contents (including sheet metal oiler) and also includes a small brush with a twisted wire handle that resembles a miniature traditional style broom.

                              Great site Carl!

Ed, nice to see you on the fourm, welcome. Hope all is well down there in paradise.

I suspect that your tan kit is marked "rco45". My takedown tool is also marked "rco45".
