Waffen SS GJ cap made in OSLO

    Hi everybody,
This is a recent addition to my collection.
I tracked it for 35 years and finally got it.

Now THAT is a cool piece of headgear. Congratulations!
Caravano had a visor from the same maker when HH sold his collection. A crusher I believe.

Unfortunately, no history behind this cap.
I saw it in an old collection 35 years ago.At this time the collector did not want to sell it. Ihave tried multiple times and finally got it.

There are some Norwegian made visors and M-43 in Norwegian collections.
I know of a SS and LW NCO visor with Norwegian maker and I know of 3-4 M-43 with Norwegian makers.
But I have not seen any Norwegian makers of SS M-43 made from the company Hordes in Oslo.
The button on the cap often used by the Nasjonal Samling.

              I love it

              Regards

              Derek

This is originally a Nasjonal Samling partyofficial cap,
badged up with SS insignia. The buttons are those specially made for female "Kvinnehird" and "Frontsøster", but also used on "male" caps used by the Party; Hird units etc. Axel Stang was with "Nord" in 1941, maybe his cap :-)

                  Interesting Hilton.

Have you period pics with same caps of the Nasjonal Samling partyofficial ?

Actually, I'm not convinced at all this is the same cap.

The Nasjonal Samling party official cap showed on the photo you posted has not the same shape.

I have many photos of this cap in use:-) But not able to post here. As long as you are happy with it as a cap specially made for SS, then everything is fine :-)

The fact that similar caps with the same buttons were worn by personnel other than the SS has some relevance but so what?

                            Congrats!
I have seen similar before but without insignia.
Can you post picture from inside?
