Thats interesting as it means that the early oak "B" pattern did already exist as early as this.
    Best regards

As it has some oak B parts and I assume it was factory assembled like this.

Owen is it possible to also post the date stamps from the "Warei" zelts? I think you have 3 different Warei zelts. I see you've posted the "Maker mark address" . "Berlin NW 40". Those should be double stamped. Date stamp is on the same bottom edge straight across on opposite corner.

Some of the zelts didn't have stamps
I carefully looked for them while shooting
                :-(

The next few I requested from salt creek.
He educated me on this years ago and it was a no way moment in my camouflage learning curve.
The edging on the zelt is printed single sided only in early examples.
I think by late war this seems to be phased out
Here's the zelt with an open seam

In the Autumn side photo you can easily see the perimeter fabric. This was a completely different screen printed camo. One sided (brown) exclusively printed for the perimeter of zeltbahns.
Notice, when sewn properly like this one, the numbers line up perfectly next to the middle grommets and the black camo areas on the one sided perimeter camo continue the black camo pattern from the main area of the zeltbahn.
On plane tree patterns like this, the screens were made to print Left or right panels. The fabric was printed in rolls of each. When cut, they were sewn together. Because they were printed separately, you always have left and right sides that don't match in color.
