    SS Helferin Tunic Opinions?

I purchased this a few years ago. I am convinced that it is an original SS helferin tunic. I have seen a handful and every one has been different. Hoping for some professional opinions and comments from the experts here. I see a few spots where there might have been stitching but any insignia was probably removed at the end of the war. Outlines for the breast insignia, cuff titles, etc is not apparent. It has most of the features of textbook SS helferin tunics. I appreciate any and all comments.

no insignia, hard to tell if there was any. No markings. 3 kinds of material used in lining, 1 type in chest pocket and under waist pocket flaps, 1 unusal type in sleeve lining, and 3rd kind used in body of lining. Field gray wool.

This is not my specialty but it looks indeed a lot like a textbook one and I would give it a chance!

As you can see the collar shape where the two flaps meet is an obtuse angle, unlike the acute angle of yours.Youirs actually fits more with the Wehrmacht style womans uniform,Ive seen in some photos.

Interesting, I had not noticed the difference in collar angle. Still, I am not convinced that it isn't just based on the angle of the collar. Of all the SS Helferin blouses, they are all different in material, construction, insignia adornment etc. Plus I won't put any faith in making judgment off of an illustration of a uniform. I'm hoping to see more photos of actual tunics.

Here is your tunic being worn by one of girls from Bergen Belsen. Notice the 3 big buttons. Same style.

Peter Im afraid your wrong, the angle is the SS type not the type that started the thread, same angle Im commenting on,your pic agrees with my statement actually. And I have never seen in photos, the middle of the collar angle differently from the way Im saying, just look up any SS helferin tunic teh angle is teh saem on all.Unless ofcourse we are talking about an SS female from the camps type tunic, which vary.Teh helferin tunic does not Im afraid.CLEARLY seen here follow the angles of the piping and compare.

YOUR COLLAR AND TUNIC IS THIS TYPE SEE?KREIGSMARINE CLOSED ANGLE,OR HEER.

                            SS COLLAR HERE OPEN ANGLE

There are NO veriations of this,Sorry show me a photo of an SS collar on a Helferinnen UNLIKE the type shown, and we will learn something new ,but I doubt it.SS tunics for women were strictly adhered to as helferinnen.Your example has a good chance of being period, but not SS Helferinnen of the secretarial/Signals variety.Possibly an SS women on duty in the camps?maybe, but I doubt it.

Nah, I still think it's teh saem!
