SS rank Tab opinions

Hi,
Could I get some opinions on this SS collar tab please? Vendor claims it is an early SS Sturmbannfuhrer left hand rank tab. The material is purportedly doe skin wool if that means anything. Thanks in advance for any advice good or bad.

Thank you gentlemen your advice is much appreciated. None of the things pointed out are things I have a clue about but now I look at it I notice it is also not symettrical, the right hand side edge is on a different angle to the left edge. The seller had a pretty good story to go with the item but as we all know it is a matter of evaluate the item not the story.
