Goerx 8x26 w. Reichmarine Navy artillery markings

This is a wreck of a Goerz 8x26 I picked up at a militaria fair recently.
Lousy, but with a nice german navy marking. 5/M.A.A.1, 12
1st. Marine Artillerie Abteilung, 5th Kompagnie, number 12.
(Fünfter Komp, des Erste Marineartillerie Abt, nummer 12.)

(The slash (/) was almost only used in the Reichwehr period.)
The unit was active between 1920 and 1939.

Under the green another homemade layer of black was present. I admit, I gave up, and went for the metal.
There are no other military markings present.
