I do not even know. For me, all items are valuable if they are in good collectible condition. In your case, I think it would be good to find flight Canal pants.

Happy you find the necessary items
Thank you for the thread created. It's really interesting what was in the pockets of the Luftwaffe pilots

        Best,
        Sergey

              Hello Jacques,
You have some nice items on Hans. However, I would suggest that most Luftwaffe fighter pilots on all fronts wore the net flight helmet ( LKp N101) and as Jos says, the N and G goggles.

Not always, but more often than not.
              Regards,
              Andy

Title of this thread says fighter pilot, so, yes I would recommend a Netzkopfhaube and N&G goggles, even for Winter configurations.
Normally the fighter O2 mask doesn't fit the leather Winter and cloth Summer cap.
I like the stuff though, jacket looks nice, nice visor etc..
Finding a decent pair of N&G goggles can be a pain, cause dealers easily charge you prices from 1000E up to 2000E, but all my pairs are found for less than 600 .. all came from ebay though.

I agree about the N&G goggles. They are more suitable for the fighter pilot. About the flight helmet. It was on the Eastern Front that fighter pilots often used LKpW-101 helmet. Of course in the winter.
The Russian winter of 41-42 was very severe (t-30-35C). I think that in such frosts, fighter pilots did not rise into the airless space. They did not need to use oxygen masks IMO. But the pilot’s head in a helmet from the net, it would be very cold IMO.

                  Best regards,
                  Sergey

I am trying to follow the road of the N&G goggles, but money doesn't grow on my back. LOL. I will get there and eventually get the netted helmet.

Another question, when did fighter pilots started usiing oxigen and in what fighters? Also where does one find the oxigen mask and setup for sale, it looks awesome on a mannequin. J

                      Hello Jacques,

oxygen masks used throughout the WW2. And on all fighter planes. Here on the forum they are sometimes for sale. If all the elements of the oxygen mask are original and in good condition, then they are very expensive! I still can not afford to buy

                      Best regards,
                      Sergey

I agree with you Sergey. Original and complete oxygen masks are crazy prices. Then you have parachute packs!
                        Best regards,

                          Hi,

oxygen masks were necessary for hights from about 4000m.
From this point the air is too thin for humans and causes altitude sickness.

I don't know if there were pilots which started without oxygen mask. (in combat)

There are also LKp W101 flight helmets with special attachement for the classic 2 point fighter oxygen mask.

                          Best regards,
                          Lukas
