I would have to see some more photos, but so far I do not like them. Construction details and materials are the big concern. They are not WWII era issue.

Definately not WWII German, they are also missing the backing support strap which should be on this model, also I cant see not traces where it may once was sewn on...moreover it has wrong snap on button on the sides small loader+spare parts pocket, what I know for sure is that the East German "Betriebskampfgruppen" (something like a armed factory / plant force) were issued the MP44 and they also had blue ammo pouches -friend of mine has a pair in blue with web belt loops and with east German markings, also the VOPO (Volkspolizei) in the GDR used the MP44 and had ammo pouches for them, they look close to WW2 German and are by now over 50 years old, but they never had the backing support strap which connected the left and right pouch. This one you have here is either made for reanactment or might be old unissued GDR equiptment but not WWII German.Hope this helps...

I beleve HGL is correct here and they are East german VOPO pouches or armed factory force pouches

Hi, I also have to agree they are unlikely to be WWII. Even outside the construction issues, the Luftwaffe went to some effort to resist the introduction MKB42 - MP43 series in favour of the FG42. It would be hard to accept that following the battle to get the FG42 accepted they would then just accept the MP series & go to the effort to make pouches as well.

Original MP44 pouches do exist in blue-grey. The FG42 was produced in limited numbers (around 7000) and it was not suitable for mass production. Nor was it intended to be issued in large numbers. The FG42 was intended to add firepower to FJs during jumps, a moot point by the time the MP44 was issued in large numbers. I have not heard about any resistance by the Luftwaffe regarding the issue of the MP44.

Those are made in the 50s for the "KVP" (Kasernierte Volks-Polizei) in the DDR. Normally you will find some markings in the midle-flap of each pouch - or at least traces of them removed by gasoline.
Another typical feature are the closure-studs as they are to small compared to original wehrmacht-ones.

Thank you very much for this infomation, it is important for me, because I have not payed for them yet. But a price was very fine for such set - 1500$, for original is very low, for 50years is very high...
