Flying helmet

Hi. Found this flying helmet a few years back under floorboards when I was rewiring a house. Still in pretty good shape and has what looks like a British plug on it. Any thoughts as to value etc and if they are popular on the collector scene. Thanks.

It’s a common helmet, but it’s lost some value with the plug modification in my opinion, unless you can definitively tie it to an allied flier who modified and used it during the war.

You can find excellent condition examples of this helmet readily for a few hundred dollars.
