    SS decal hall of shame

I know other forums have a pinned section on bad decals. It seems like there are two or three questions a day here on SS decal opinions. Almost all seem like bad news. Why not pin a section here for bad SS decals? Seems like this thread would save a lot of "is this ok?" when its obviously a very poor reproduction. Post em if you got em

One of the better reproductions, the 'more recent' reproductions.
Most common applied on original ND helmets which fool a lot of
unexperienced collectors. 'Nicely' altered, to make the decal 'fit
the helmet'. Maybe some alternation methods should be discussed
here? To see how decals are made old and how te recognise?

              Ebay SS M42

Heres one that was for sale on fleabay, when I asked for pics, this is what I got, with a long story about how it was in the vets closet for fifty years,so it must be an orginal

This one really stinks, and some poor soul bought for $1500.00

I really think this to be a great idea and pin this stuff. I have not subsrcibed to the theory that "if we give too much away" they will make better repros. The bottomline is that if someone has the means they will do it. I think there are few that have the "means" to make the PERFECT decal.
