    Lack of French Cuffs? Thoughts?

Hey Guys, A while back a fella mentioned the lack of French Cuffs to me and I never really got an answer as the how or why that could occur.

    Any input would be great!

If you need any certain photos let me know!

    Thanks!

It might be useful to show detail images of the lower sleeve and looking into the sleeve to get any opinions. Is there a maker label?

As officer's tunics were privately made, the officer could request special features to his tunic. Lack of French cuffs is one. I've seen several officer tunics without them, it was simply a fashion choice.

Other possibility is that the tunic in question was originally tailored for an NCO, hence the lack of French cuffs.

Ah gotcha fellas makes sense. I had wondered if it indicated something specific, but personal choice makes allot of sense and so does the conversion possibility.

ill have the wife take pictures for me here soon I’m on the road at the moment.

thanks for the feedback so far fellas

Seems like a very fine tunic Dan! I doubt if those medals are original to the tunic, and you should always check the award loops, sewing of the collar tabs etc...
