Interesting Danzig Trumpet banner up for discussion.. WW1? Hussars?

A collector I know has this up for sale. The crest of Danzig looks right.. but not sure of the skull on the other side.

Pre WW1? Hussars?

Im usually not a big flag collector but this one is quite unique how it is tied to a specific city. The detail work is amazing!

Any idea of rarity or value.. If so, shoot a note here or PM.

Hard to tell definitively from the photos, but IMO the fabric, fringe, bullion, and overall workmanship do not look typical of a period trumpet banner.
