Nice gun ! Too bad the GI modified the holster but it was commonly done...
back than..as it was just another holster (that got butchered)...I would also keep the customs gun!

RFV PPs do nothing for me. If it "don't float your boat", move it down the road for something that you like.
I regret getting rid of the PP PDM that was marked for the Munich Polizei Department when H. Himmler was in charge there!
I wish I'd kept that one. But, then again, if everybody kept everything that they wished that they had, no one would ever have thrown anything out or sold it or traded it and there would be a plethora of all the rare stuff that we all want.

Maybe it was one of the RFV PPs that were transferred to the early SS Grenzschutz? Otherwise, the Walther PPs and PPKs were restricted in issuance to select departments and not for general issue. This is according to information secured some years ago from the Bundes Finanz Ministerium.

Are you referring to my pistol or to Stig's?? It has been years since we have had any contact. Have only gotten back into the pistol collecting in the last five years. Ed O thinks I have lost my mind but so far I am enjoying the re-awakening.

Are those rack numbers or are they the assigned numbers of members of the RFV?

I guess rack number may of been a poor choice of words, and maybe inventory number may be a better choice. The W number may of been used to keep records of whom were issued the pistols.

Also they dont seem to follow any set pattern of SN to the W number, meaning two RFV pistols 50 SN a part can have W numbers 400 apart.
