Fat Army dagger grips......

I have seen quite a few 'fat' army dagger grips on auction sites recently.
By fat i mean that they don't seem to taper at the pommel end.
Is this a variation or a fake grip...?

If youre referring to the Alcoso that you pictured, then its quite normal for the grip to be a little fatter towards the pommel. Its a late production Alcoso and the grip was no longer solid trolon. It was either the wood filled or plaster filled type and as such didnt taper towards the pommel as much as the earlier Alcoso types did. Mine looks identical to that one. My other Alcosos all taper towards the pommel. and as far as I know, it was only Alcoso that had this shape.
