          Thank you Gustav. Here is the reverse of the camo'ed buckle with the belt and suspension loop as it was brought back by the US soldier. Also a close up of the marking, the date appears to be 1940.

            Tunisian POW buckle and belt with matching MOB number.

              POW decorated belt. This set came from "Buffalo" Bob Sevier in the late 1980s if memory serves. The darkened rectangle is a camel in the desert under the moon at night.

                  I have NEVER seen, much less heard of, a Luftwaffe proofmark on a belt until. Incredible items in a sticky that just gets better and better.
