It's just because I see some with S hooks and others with C hooks. Seems StuGs only had 1 C hook and PzkpfwIV woukd have 2 S or C, according to pics, but not sure. I'm trying to get two of each, anyhow.

      S-hook versus C-hook.

I think S-hooks were employed at the beginning ( see on Pz IV which passed from S-Hooks to C-hooks), while C-hooks were employed later. Because the C-hooks were great improvement as they would not loose while not in tension.

Anyhow there were 2 of each for one tank, and that is why I have two of each...

Ho, Carles, yes, I know that you appreciate !

So there would have either 2 S hooks or 2 C hooks then, I understand. As I don't know what kind of vehicle I will have (when I win the lottery) I'll try to get two of each.

Nice to see your's also, Stephane. Spring is in the air and hooks are blooming

Here's a pic of the 2 C hook cage on the Pz IV in el Goloso barracks, Madrid and of the support for a single C hook on a StuG III in Cartagena, Murcia. (neither pics are mine, but sent by friends)

Some Corrections to my post below:

First of all, the small one for StuG with the towing eye.

            <a href="http://smg.photobucket.com/user/JFeder504/media/Colleurs/IMG_6008_zpskd4om9g0.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/JFeder504/Colleurs/IMG_6008_zpskd4om9g0.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_6008_zpskd4om9g0.jpg"/></a>

As I noticed, the C-Hook can NOT rotate freelY in the eye : only three positions are OK. Much of the stress is given to the locking part for the 2 downward positions.
The C-hook is very tight in the hull eye.

Was there no D ring to attach to the eye, as in larger tanks?

                That was not necessary.

Lots of pics show the C-hook attached to /hanging on the front eye ( StuG ) or towing device ( Pz IV )

Also: I remember a guy posting here what he dug out from eastern country, and I noticed a mix of S-hook and and C-hook ( for a StuG ).

My S hook weighs about 6.5 kg. How much does your's weigh Stephane?

Here are a couple of pics of that set in the background.

                          PANZERKAMPFWAGEN or Jagdtiger hooks

Hello! Help me find out from what tank these hooks? I think the mount is suitable for a tank - PANZERKAMPFWAGEN VI AUSF B (SD KFZ 182) VK4503, KONIGSTIGER or
                          Jagdtiger?

Well, if a Panzer IV's weighs 12 Kg, a Panzer V's weighs 26 kg, I think we conclude that a 30kg hook could most probably be for a Panzer VI
