      tistou48:

The signature in post #32 looks like "v. Ruttesheim" to me. Is that a known name? I can't find anything on Google .... mostly "Rutesheim" results.

Other possibilities are "v. Nuttesheim" or "v. Kuttersheim" .... but I don't think so -- I don't get any hits for those.

      OOOH!!! Wait !! ..... Close:

Wie oben. Keine Foyermusik. Nur französische Komödien u. Schwanke. Hauptkräfte Junkermann u. Frau v. Ruttersheim. Parkett- Fauteuü M.4,10.
      Berlin und die Berliner, (1905)
      Perhaps his relative?

Another possibility: could he be the son or grandson of K.u.K Generalmajor Karl Polz Elder von Ruttersheim who had two sons: Friederich (b. 1860; promoted to lieutenant in 1888); and Rudolf (b. 1867; Lieutenant in Nikolaus Alexandrowitsch Großfürst u. Thronfolger von Russland-Uhlanen Nr. 5).

Otto Baum and Hans Hauser signed photos

I've a chance to acquire one of these. PROBLEM: I like both!

Informed comments as to authenticity, history of these two soldiers, approximate value or rarity welcome.

                        Thank you in advance,
