LW DKIG holder Gerd Blume ????

    hello fellow collectors,

Among the photos I received today is also a lot of pictures belonging to
a DKIG holder of the luftwaffe. Al the sketchy information I have is the following:

OLT Gerd Blume or Gert Blueme
    Pilot JG 51 Eismeer
    Born 5-7-1919
    Died 23-5-1942

    Ehrenpokal 1-12-1941
DKIG 2-7-1942 (awarded after his death)

Any help / comments are welcome !!!!

    regards
    Peter

According Scherzer's book on LW DKiG holders he was with KG 51 "Edelweiss". He's named as Gert in that book and on the volksbund database but Gerd in the Ehrenpokal lists. Born at Schwelm, died at Charkow.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Gert was the fiancée of my mother , he was kia on 23.5.1942. When my mother died in 2001 my brother sadly put all (4 ) original Gert Blume pictures in her coffin. I did not know that, because if- I had rejected that move. Well, they are all lost by now 6 feet under the grass. I have nothing left but the one picture copy that shows his temporary grave from the KG51 book.
Please see my latest research on the crash site of Gert Blume here:

If you can help me with all infos on G.B. I `d be very pleased.
              Cheers
              Egbert

P.S. Weinsoldner's PM is full, his last activity was 6 months back - if anybody still knows how to contact him, please let me or him know!!!!!!!
