    Hi All
Is this signature a facsimile stamp or the real deal?
    Thanks

Facsimile. These awards were spread around in their hundreds of thousands.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

I agree that the AH signature is printed. That said, the signature of Dr. Otto Meissner, State Secretary and Chief of the President’s Chancellery, on the lower right-hand corner of this document is original. Dr. Meissner's office originated this award of the War Merit Cross, 2nd Class.

I thought the signature was Meissner. Br James, did Meissner sign all of these as a General would sign an ek (etc) award?

            Hi Tony,

Dr. Meissner signed the award documents which originated under his office's authority. One sees similar documents signed by the originating office on the lower right-hand corner by a variety of military, governmental and political officials.
