Yes, it is Châlons. So, in theory, it should means than it is Châlons-sur-Marne, now "en Champagne" . Excepted if the german sanitary has done a writing mistake. It is quiet possible.
Perhaps you can check if there was a Kriegslazaret in both towns?
    Good luck.

OK. Are you sure there is an "s" at the end of Chalons ? It can perhaps help also.

Thanks Luft 76 I bet the one close to Dijon as it is more close to Montelimar than the other.

Don't know, but you must know there are two Chalons in France :
    -Châlons-sur-Marne, now Chalons-en-Champagne (south-east of Reims)
    -Chalon-sur-Saône (southern of Dijon).

    Krieglazarett Chalons in August 1.944

Anyone can tell me where it was this hospital?

I am trying to pinpoint it because I have a Soldbuch to a Panzerjäger NCO who was wounded around August 23rd, 1.944 while serving with Panzerjäger Abteilung 235, 198 Infanterie Division during the battle of Montelimar (August 20th to August 29th, 1.944)

He was admitted on this hospital on August 23rd and then transfer to Reservelazarett Wiesbaden, Teillazarett Paulinenhistung arriving on 28th.

    Thanks a lot
