I have been looking for a nice Gold grade Night Fighter clasp for some time without success but was attracted to this one I saw on Estand recently.

Apparently it was a sleeper which came from a house clearance in Peterborough/UK which is an area of the UK where many German POW’s were incarcerated.

The WAF member I bought it from mentioned that it had been found with two EK’s and also offered them to me. At first I decided that I didn’t need two more EK’s but in the end we agreed on a deal and I took them as well.

The clasp, I am told by Sebastien T is a 1943/44 Juncker with just traces of the Gold remaining on the reverse where the clasp has been soldered on. The black paint looks very nice and quite clearly original.

I am pleased that Tom M talked me into buying the EK’s as it would have been a shame to split this group although of course no-one knows for sure whether they belonged to the NJG pilot but have certainly been together for the past 75 years.
