Well, this begs the question, "Who made this badge?"

I know we have experts here who can answer this question.

Could someone post a picture of a late war GWL so I can see a full set?

        Any help much appreciated! Peter

          Peter,

Here is the GWL. Of note, it may be hard to see in the image, but the GWL hallmark has a break in the circle at about the 10 o'clock position. Speculation is......the break occurred in the early Pilot and Pilot Observer badges at about 7 o'clock. The damage was repaired but returned in the later badges, but higher up in the circle. Just a theory....

          Mark

PS - I still like the unmarked ball-hinge Flak best!

          The GWL

Thank you all very much for showing these badges, it's been an eye opener. What do these badges sell for? Are they faked a lot and how do you tell the good from the bad?

              Happy collecting, Peter

I forgot to mention that I have a ball top Juncker and a nice cased Brehmer that is my favorite. The early Brehmer is the best one in my opinion.

                                Hello to all,

My favorite L/W Flak Badges are the ones made by F.W. Assmann. I like the overall look, the detail, and the double markings on the reverse. These Assmann's really kick ass.
                                Best regards! Tom
