      Hi,

It seems that the commander of the FJR3 at that time was the Oberleutnant SCHNEIDER. But the signature doesn't look to correspond ?????????????

        Hello,

With the reference to the Feldpost Nr. visible for the Armelband Kreta entry,
07806 which is identifying the Rgt.Stab./FJR 4, he was belonging to this unit at 20.05.43.
The second proof is the signature of Oblt. Gerhard RÜHLE who was Adjutant in the Regimentstab at this time.

I read the name as Merkel twice for the KVK 1. Kl. and wound badge and the final name as possibly Laun Oberstl. u. Regt.-Fuehrer.

Kommandeur of FJR4 in 04.45 was Oberstleutnant Otto Laun.

Thank you very much for your input.

              Laun could match the signature.

The only thing I would love to know who this soldier was. I guess there were not too many Fallschirmjäger with the German Cross in Silver. But I guess that will remain a secret.

                maybe you never know him,
because no NAME list for the time (Apr.30 1945)
i have a FJ Soldbuch with honest entry of DKiG awarded Apr.30,
but not in the list. but ok, as i said, the entry is very nice and original, just the same case as mine.
