Interesting first model bandolier photo

I just picked this up on UK eBay. I thought the first model bando with later smocks combo was interesting. You do see it sometimes but not that often. But more so, I was intrigued by the bando at far left. As we know this model was produced in blue/olive and dark olive/olive. When you compare the one on the left with the one to his left there is a distinct shade difference. Of course there should be a shade variation with the dark olive/olive ones but this one seems far more pronounced. I understand there is no way to prove it for sure, but I think the one on the left COULD be the blue/olive version. If so, it would be the first and only period photo of it I can recall seeing. Far right bando is of course the blue "angular flap" model.

Just thought it was different and interesting.

I had seen this photo on Ebay. I love the mixed color bando on the far left! In fact, I had pm'd one of the mods to try and get this pic added to discussions elsewhere.

Also, going from left to right, the 1st, 3rd, and 5th FJ's all seem to have mixed bandos.

I am sure you are right Eric. The difference is clear in photo, despite the lack of colour.
What do you think of the helmet that John mentioned ? It looks very shiny to me.

Not sure what to make of it Steve. It could be painted over. Tan, light brown? Probably no way to know for sure.

I recently found this photo which I believe absolutely is the blue/tan version. The contrast is stark and clear. I am convinced now that the bandolier in the first photo I posted is indeed an olive version with dark/light olive contrasts (not the blue and tan)

Thought some would find this interesting as it is the only photo I have seen of it in wear which I was sure about. Also posting another shot of the bandolier itself (not mine, wish it was)
