    Japanese navy cap

    Hello everyone,

Could you identify me this Japanese Navy cap please? Is it attributed to an officer or a sailor? For summer ?
Also if you could give me the translation of the name inscribed inside it would be great!

    Thank you, best regards.

    Navy officer (two bands).

    Name: Mori
    Rank: 予少尉 [yo-sho'i] pre-2nd Lieutenant

As I recall, officers had to successfully graduate an officer academy, then serve a term as a probationary 2nd lieutenant before being fully commissioned.

Love the metal grommets! Not often seen on these. The only down side is they rust out so easily.
Interested in Japanese Special Naval Landing Force, USMC, Raider, & all Battle of Tarawa items.

            Remka.
A field (Battlefield) cap and this is a service visor cap.
