Named and field used Japanese Army helmet

Firstly I hope everybody is well and safe during these difficult times.

Seeing as I have some time on my hands I thought I would show one of my new purchases from a friend.

Here in my opinion is one of the nicest named Japanese army helmets you would wish to find.
The colour of the whole helmet has a fantastic dead grass brown that has Dulles with time any wear, also showing a shade of lighter brown around the lower middle hand painted.

chinstraps are uncut and have hand sewn Kanji in 2 places with painted kanji on the liner and helmet.

I believe his name was Fu****su Matsuo

What’s lovely to me is the original net that shows correct breakage at the rim and discolouration from the top being bleached of all colour from the sun and the underside which is green. The net has not moved and as you can see from the pics it shows this clearly.

any other info and opinions would be great

    thanks for looking

This given name really puzzles me. The family name is 松尾 Matsuo.

The helmet exterior has only three kanji:
                    松尾*
                    Matsuo *

                    The liner has four kanji:
                    松尾*實
Matsuo *jitsu [I'm not 100% certain of 實]

More info than you really want or need:
                    ==========================
                    One strap:
                    マツヲフツン
Matsuo Futsun [unless I'm reading ツン incorrectly ... could be シソ [shiso] or ツツ [tsutsu]
note the difference between "tsu" ツ and "shi" ツ
                    Side-by-side: shi/tsu シツ
                    Side-by-side: n/so ンソ

                    Other strap:
                    マツヲフ
                    Matsuwofu

ヲ = wo; today it would be written with the オ "o" katakana: マツオ
I know there is no way of pronouncing 松尾 as "Matsuwofu" or "Matsuwohu" -- so I'm wondering if the フ [fu/hu] is an elongation of the "wo/o" sound????

                    Good luck!
