    Hi Andrew,
It's a karneval (spelled with a c in some parts of Germany) medal from the city of Mannheim in 1939. Not sure which organization it is from. There were a lot of these at the flea markets when i was there, and they never seemed to generate a lot of interest as they were plentiful and usually cheaply made, so I don't think they have a lot of value. The KVK ribbon was probably added by someone else.

I am searching for medals and badges from Gablonz makers.

Maybe not a KVK Ribbon as there, the side Stripes should be a bit wider but for sure not matching this Medal.
As these "Awards" were given through Carnival Sessions to Members, it should have a twisted cord in the Colours of the Assn. in a long size that it would fit over the HEadgear to be hung around the Neck. Here I expect a Blue/Yellow/Black Cord.

          Hi,

the "FEUERIO Große Carnevalgesellschaft 1898 Mannheim e.V." still exist since 1898:

The ribbon is from the "Kyffhäuser Denkmünze 1914/18"

            Uwe, thanks for the update.
I knew I saw the Ribbon before.
Maybe an Idea to forward a Pic of the Medal to them, maybe they know how the suspension / Cord has to look like.

Had some of them a while ago.
