    General service cap (belgian brigade)

Hello there! I have this GS cap, dated 1945 with the badge of the free belgian troops that fought with the british army...but I donĀ“t know the meaning of the green cloth under the badge...all the images I have seen about the belgium brigade (piron brigade...armoured brigades...infantry brigades...even commando berets) the caps, sidecaps and berets have the belgian lion badge (you can see in this site: http://www.be4046.eu/ )...but without the cloth backing...so what do you think about? Thanks a lot!

Could be from a unit with traditions related to Carabiniers or rifles (Jagers te voet). So 5th Brigade Merckem is a possibility.
