A dream room of Marine ubiforms. All name tapes have been covered to prevent reproduction. The left two uniforms are interesting in that the Vietnamese Captains' rank is placed on the left pocket flap.

I have been told that there are some 200 VNMC advisors' uniforms behind that photo ! Berets, documents, photos, you name it.

          Hello all,

If any fellow members have any cloth or metal insignia that they could add to the thread in the spirit of a reference, please feel free to do so.

Needless to say, the above photograph is outstanding, thanks Dennis for the continued posts on the theme. Appreciated as always.

Beezman, could you show the back of the insigne. I am interested in how it was attached to the beret. Thank you in advance.

Dennis, those always have the same system, metal loops.

Here is a VNMC cap I really like, Hung Dao made.

Is this Dan Whitton's collection? The half size torso displays look familar.

It is. BTW, he bought Pope's thai late war uniform that was on ebay a few weeks ago! The only pattern that was missing in his awesome collection. Advisor 72/73 I guess.

I remember that as well, but I will be darned if I can find it at the moment. As I recall it was a play on words in French.

Yes, the same slang expression can be used for umbrella and parachute in French: p├ępin

Owen it is Dan's collection. I contacted him about the Ranger patch and he informed me that he did not recognize it. His war room I had to add. Even without the nametags it is exciting to the eye.

I may have a marine uniform and covers to post next week.
