A nice original private purchase cross with a "slant W" core used by several manufacturers.

        Hello,

the pin looks to me like a Meybauer

          Hi,

To the best of my knowledge, Meybauer was actually NOT one of the users of the "slant W" core! The hinge on the example is imo not Meybauer and the shape of the main pin is similar (in that it is "coke-bottle) but imo definitely not Meybauer ("sexy" coke-bottle) either.

Here are the reverses of 6 x 1914 Meybauer EK1s.

          Regards
          Mike

Good cross, interwar period (late interwar in my opinion), maker is currently unknown.
            Best regards,
