    Weimar era Pole Tops

    Here is a selection of Weimar era Pole Tops.
    (L to R) 1. Roter Frontkämpferbund, found in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg; 2. Roter Frontkämpferbund, found in Hamburg-Wandsbek; 3. Roter Frontkämpferbund; 4. Clasped hands, used by SPD, Unions, Fraternities, etc. 5. Arbeiter Turn und Sport Bund, found in Leipzig.

    Quite interesting. The RFB tops are not that easy to find.

        Thanks. I've been looking for communist and workers' movement Weimar items for decades. The first RFB pole top I acquired, #3 in the photo, was in the late 1980s. The next, #2, I bought around 2007. The most recent, #1, was purchased last July and it came with an RFB flag as well as another communist pennant. The others I got this year. The clasped hands type turns up since it was widely used over a longer period of time. The Reichsbanner model is fairly rare. I've encountered others along the way but this one was in especially crisp condition and very reasonably priced. The Arbeiter Turn und Sport Bund isn't too common but also not highly sought after by collectors.
