This is a really nice job.
But I respectfully disagree about the skyrocketing awardings of 1945 year only attributed to long-service awards... I suggest a more accurate sentence.
Most majority of these 1945 years was for combat feats of valor...
Let's imagine 1 millions bestowed for 15 years long service... In 1935 there was 930 000 men in the RKKA (523 000 in 1925). Not all of them could be awarded?
I would estimate at least 75% of red stars given for military feats in 1945; this proportion declining after 1945 in favor of long-service awardings.
After 1948 when they finished the huge batch of war veterans I believe we can find a majority of 15 years service red stars.Last edited by seb16trs; 05-18-2020, 03:55 PM.
