ww2 Highland light Infantry titles - what we have here

    Hello

What's your opinion on those 2 insignas ?

Both sleeves bears one title, slighly different

    Repro ? Post War ? Genuine ?

    Thanks

I don't know enough to comment on the flash, but I don't like the way the div patch is sewn on at all.

This group, which I've recently joined, may be helpful. "Identifying Reproduction Canadian Military Insignia" at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1508635382724987/

OK, got some info. The gent who wrote 'Fabric of War' which is apparently THE book on Canadian WWII badges commented on your tunic. He says he thinks one title is 'post war', so presumably added after the original issue and he also questions the colour of the divisional flash, though he says 'that could be the photo. Below: the one he says is post-war and his example of a genuine HLI tunic. post war issue.jpg Genuine HLI grey patch.jpg

                Thanks for your answer

So one would be post war ... and the other would be OK for wartime ?

                Thanks

Yes, that would be my takeaway from what was said.

Yes. One postwar and one WWII.

Stay away from this tunic. It's a put together.

Yes, I think that's been established by the nione matching shoulder titles.
