      Excellent series I didn't really get this show when it was on tv first time around but since then it's grown on me. Great acting, cast production values and storylines. The postwar ones were v good also, they really should have continued this on into the cold war proper.
      Area of collecting interest - Polizei Photographs.

          Great TV series first time around and rarely miss a repeat. Foyle is a bit of a Columbo, very pensive, doesn't let you know what he's thinking and has no issues with arresting senior officials, regardless how important they are! Shame his son didn't feature more, assume the use of a Spitfire more regularly was too expensive.

            I still find myself watching many episodes although they've been repeated on a couple of channels several times. I believe that Kitchen accurately portrays the persona of a bloke of that era. Could easily be my father.

              Agreed, Michael Kitchen and indeed his regular co-stars are perfectly cast! Your not watching Kitchen! Which is quite rare nowadays.
