    Major Wilhelm Schmitter KC/OL

It takes forever for me to get this information onto my website due to lack of time but I did manage to get this 90% complete.

This group (click on link below) is to Major Wilhelm Schmitter who flew at the end of his life with V./Kampfgeschwader 2 but had a lengthy career flying since the outbreak of WW2 and can trully be considered one of the "Alter Hase" of the Luftwaffe.

At times the missions seem redundant but when one thinks about the vast amount of hours of training that these Luftwaffe and Allied pilots went through only to be sacrificed for a "noble cause" it is pretty amazing.

Anyway I managed to put this portion of his group/career together from three seperate dealers over 10+ years so hopefully you guys find it informative.

    Cheers

The next step is writing a book and presenting the group
as a complete work in it's historical context.

It took me about 10 years to get 'Wisch' together again to
a large part and then I started writing the bio, which will
hopefully be out beginning 2012 with Schiffer Books.

I strongly recommend this evolutionary, rewarding process!

Thanks guys your comments are greatly appreciated.

Markus thanks for the encouragement you are certainly a role model considering all of the hard work you've done to compile Wisch's career.

Hard to believe i just started out with his Wehrpas...
