    Humble but loved collection!

Hi ya all! I started collecting at the age of 14. This was the time i got my very first german helmet shell. It was a M35 bought in Athens in 1979. I still have this shell of course! Over the years i continued collecting and also got some items from my family. ( I am half german half greek.)

I truly am amazed by the collections i see here and i love seeing all these fantastic historical items! My collection is very humble in comparisson, but i still love every item. They are my little time machines. I will post some images to inspire those collectors that dont have "the badget" to collet big. In the end it comes not by how big a collection is, but how much satisfaction each of its pieces give you. Cheap or expensive, they are pieces of history that let you travel back to time a bit.

Regards to all collectors! Keep preserving history!

      A find!

This M40 shell comes from Crete.
It is a battlefield relic. But in real good shape.

This is my only full helmet.

It is size 66 M42 and has an original liner and a field made chinstrap.
Almost 60% of its color is present.

And this is the prize of my collection. Infantry Paraderock.

This is my one and only uniform piece. You may notice an irregularity on how the medals are attached to the tunic, but there is a reason for it. They all belong to my german uncle who after the war stitched them together like this. So i just let them as he left them to me. I bought this wooden cabinet and put a led line inside the doorframe sides. This photo is made with no flash , so you can see the light is correctly mild and appropriate.

              A problem.

I must apologise for the HUGE scale of my photos! I will have to make them smaller and repost everything as soon as i can. Again sorry for the inconvenience.

Well said. This is what collecting is all about. It’s not who has the best or the largest. It’s all about the connection with history. Thanks for sharing your “humble” collection. ✌️

Nice collection. VERY COOL that you have the uniform of your uncle.

Looks like a nice collection, I think smaller pictures would show
                            more detailed and clearer images.
