Default Dutch Dachau SS shields in wear

As we know the Dutch versions of these shields never left the depot as no war time pictures of these exist in wear on SS uniforms... but Jeroen.Zegelaar from Holland posted these fascinating pictures on Facebook.

It shows liberated Dutch prisoners (from Dachau I assume) arriving in Nijmegen June 1945.

Last set! Very cool find!
Maybe one day we will find these also worn on W-SS uniforms if some did leave the depot (as all other nationality shields did)
Note the former prisoner with the cap with Dutch shield is also wearing German KeilhoBen army pants!

Appears to be a cut down Dachau depot pattern shield...(liberated prisoners)
(again furnished by Jeroen)

Yes, it was in mint condition.
I know that there is also a coverall from a former Dachau inmate with this SS shield in a museum here in the Netherlands.

Note how the cuffs have been given a " civilian look " for the trip home . Let's hope the buyer appreciated it for its history , and not completely SS badged it up ..
