Default 6x30 binos

Very nice binos !!! I wrote a question about an WaA stamp on an strap or the rainguard. Normal is that there are no stamps, factorys like "dow" stampes most of there parts other factorys not. You will find the same by the binoculars, there are no binoculars from cag, dow, clb, eug, ...,...., with an WaA stamp, on the other hand Zeiss, Hensoldt,Oigee,Spindler&Hoyer binos, are often with an stamp. Hensold Wetzlar and Dr Hensoldt Herborn make also stamps on the ocular.

cheers

Same as Ade over here! I picked these up this morning for next to nothing although I'm not sure whether they are WW2 issue? Here are the pics.

Ade, nice early Zeiss ones! My 7x50s are coded to them also...."blc".

Tom, do yours have a maker on it anywhere? Nice black bakelite case. For sniper scope can collectors, note the ONLY correct maker stamp is present on these too. The fake cans all have the postwar marking which is missing a small but key feature.

Hello Willi.
I have looked all over the Binos but I cannot find a single marking. The case has the only real significant marking but I'm not sure whether that means anything. Would these by any chance still be WW2 issue without markings? Thanks

Sure Tom they could be. They look identical in every way, but would have to defer to someone who is more an optics expert than I am.

Willi,

I have a nice pair of bakelite 6 X 30's with the correct, and tough to find, press-stoff case. Both the binos and case are marked cxn. Currently I have a bakelite rain guard with them but have been told that this style bino needs a rubber rain guard. Any chance that you have an extra rubber rain guard that I can buy or trade for? I will have this set at the SOS as I am looking for a shoulder strap for the case.

Ed
