Default value on a KFC line throwing gun

Got this recently out of a friends basement. Good mechanical shape, bit a surface rust on it.

I managed to find out that the KFC stands for kawaguchiya firearms company. Not Kentucky Fried Chicken :P

I'm trying to figure out what it's worth as It just doesn't fit in my collection and there are other things I need.

Anyway onto the pics! Let me know what you guys think

Very cool, you don't see something like that every day!

Yeah its pretty wild the rear stock is solid steel. The gun weighs a ton. Also any chance anybody know what the two characters stamped on the side mean ?

I believe all large ships had one that came in fitted carry case. I suspect yours is missing component that attached at end of barrel. Years ago I saw a similar example that had it.Can you post a photo of end of barrel? The mark within circle is navy acceptance mark

Here you go ....it's a martini Henry :

You may want to join up there and get the real skinny on this rifle. I have a harpoon gun in my stuff but totally different type and of an older era....nice find, likely worth more than the one on the page above.

Will get pics of the barrel tonight. There is nothing special no crown smoothbore and flat on the end.

It's a copy of the martini henry action but it's not a Martini henry.
