Mr. Gallagher? Mike you're killing me. Did someone tell you my real age or something? They lied.

Seriously, you've got a very nice collection. I knew you were endeavoring to collect outside of the DDR and acquire examples of the other Warsaw Pact nations, but I had no idea you had these gems. Thanks for posting and sharing.

Default Mr & Herr

Hey Mike,

I thought I would put the Mr Gallagher in because, with both of us being Michaels, it wouldn't confuse people. I would not want someone to think I am writing myself my own comments. Mike

Nice tunics, Mike. Are the collar insignia prong-backed or screw-backed?

Hello Leo,

One collar tab has pins through both sides. The other collar tab has one half with a screwback and one half with a pin through it. Go figure. mike

What I find impressive about this thread is the close ups of tunic which points to how really nice the embroidered tabs are and how interesting the tunics are in general. Thanks Mike for sharing your collection...

Hi Mike Custer, I already saw your Soviet WW2 tanker commissar tunic during my trip to your house last year. I love your Soviet commissar tunics on display in your home! I would like to look for a nice Soviet WW2 tunic to display with my DDR tunics. Well,I loves both of your Soviet commissar tunics! Thanks,James
