Default How Old Are These Navy Navigator Wings?

The navy used these wings from 31 March 1945 to 18 March 1947 for Naval Aviation Observers serving as navigators. But these wings were also used by the Marine Corps during the late 50s by enlisted men who qualified as navigators. There was a short article in the January-March 1989 issue of Trading Post about a sergeant who earned the Marine Aerial Navigator rating.

Is it possible to tell when these wings were manufactured? Perhaps there's something about the hallmark or the pin that would tell.

Dennis

Default I would agree....

..... pin, hinge, catch, maker mark & quality look consistent with WW2 era production of H-H. A very nice and rather hard to find wing!
