Default Police Display- Portland, OR. Military Show

I just want to share a few photos of my recent trip to Portland, Oregon for the Northwest Military Show and Sell. It was a fun show!! I was able to meet and talk with many local collectors who were starting to get involved with Polizei insignia. I put together a display table with a variety of Police related items (such as sleeve eagles, awards, documents, cap badges, etc). I was also lucky and found a few small police items to purchase.

Thanks for looking.
Best regards, Randy

Default Second Pattern Cap Badge

I purchased a really neat cap badge. It is maker marked "GGL". At first glance it appears that the wings are slightly bent, but it is actually the round impression of the pin mounting from the back side. Do all "GGL" marked pieces look like this??

Default Plastic Figures

I also picked up these really nice plastic Police figures. I hadn't really dealt with these before, but after seeing how cool these were in person, I just had to have them.
Thanks, Randy

I'll second to that. Those little figures are cool! Funny how the guy on the motorcycle?? is the same size as the other figures.

Great display and well done too And congrats on the new goodies! You now have the full series of 8 plastic painted figures for the from the Kriegs WHW National Street Collection for the Tag Der Deutschen Polizei 18 Feb 1940. They also came in silver and gold. I've yet to assemble a full set of silver (short 1) and far from a set of gold (short 6) but they are fun to look for!

I only wish the Portland show was a little closer so I could see it all. The local shows here are a little lame when it comes to real material and displays.

A very nice display! I think it is worth the time and trouble to put on these displays because you can make some good contacts at these shows.

It was a pleasure meeting you this past weekend Randy! I enjoyed your display and I was happy that I was able to help you add to it.

Are you going to be attending the next show this fall?

Default TR Polizei.

A Well Developed and Varied Collection of Polizei related memorabilia.
So many Eagles of Various Rank equals a stunning Display. Glancing through so much near perfect insignia I'm left wondering how long it must have taken you to amass such quality. Thanks for the Birds eye view too.

Default Police display

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I have asked a lot of questions and received great advice from collectors on this forum (such as Dave C., W.Unland, Panzerpioni, and many others).

I agree with SCHUPO that having a display like this at local shows is a great way to make new Police contacts. I am already looking forward to the next show.

Best regards, Randy
