I read somewhere that Luftwaffe recipients of the Ehrenpokal were automatically entitled to the Ehrenblattspange. Can any of the experts confirm this?

Not a specialist but I read the same. Theoritically yes. But in the fact very few LW members did receive the LW Ehrenblattspange. picutres showing this Ehrenblatt worn are scarce.
this one was to sell on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. It ended at a very high price

Jacques is correct.

Also, on page 244 of "The Iron Cross of 1939" by Gordon Williamson, will give you all the info you need.
