Default Blood Order Document

Hi guys.
Thought you would appreciate looking at a 2nd pattern official award document. I can't tell you how hard these are to find. As a guide I'd say I see maybe 7-10 of the 2nd pattern medals for every one of these formal documents. This one is missing its red leather folder and has some condition issues, but I just love it. Currently having the recipient researched and hopefully the archives may reveal his Blood Order number. Unlike the small linen red holders document these large certificates do not feature the award number, just the date of award The piece is real quality, heavy stock and the artwork just 'does it' for me
Thanks to a fellow WAFer for the heads up on this one, albeit I was close on the trail
Apologies for the watermarking, unfortunatly essential these days, for everyones protection against rogue sellers and fraudsters.

No problem. Also by leaving this name open there is always a chance someone has something else such as a Wehrpass belonging to the same man

Another fine piece for your BO collection and congrats again my friend. The style of these 2nd pattern documents showed the importantace of the award along side similar docs like those of the RK etc.

Here is mine example in the red folder for Hans Dobek, one of the surviving participants in the Dollfuss Putsch in 1934, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, including one day a year of solitary confinement. His sentence was commuted by an agreement between Hitler and Schussnigg. Dobek left for Germany were he joined the SS/Police. I was fortunate that his BO number was conspicuously noted on his NSDAP party card, enabling me to properly associate the BO and the document, both of which were sold together but without associating documentation.

Well I'd guesstimate that on the collectors market only 5 the last 5 years .Maybe 25 medals in the same time period I am aware of. But as I said earlier it seems like these documents are hardly ever offered. Either families keep the docs or more likely thrown away more often than medals . In the past non collectors probably did not see the value in paperwork, more in medals.

Great detective work, Jon.
If you were interested in UFOs, I betcha you would solve the mystery of Area 51.
