Default Detecting Fakes from the NAM!

I know that there are a number of members of this forum who are interested in collecting Vietnam made items. A good friend of mine, Bobb Chatt, of "Vintage Productions" just sent me an e-mail that states that he has added a "Reproduction Alert" page. One of the items shown on his page was discussed on our forum some time ago.
In his e-mail he states "We have listed a few items from the most basic up to the most current dangerous copies that are being made. Please take a few moments and check this out...and check back often as we will be adding to the reproduction alert page as often as we can."
While I am not trying to advertise the sales portion of his site (even though he is an honest dealer), I would encourage anybody who is either collecting Vietnam made insignia or considering Nam made insignia collecting to visit his site.

Hi Alan,

Very interesting website page on detecting Vietnam patch fakes. I'm not a patch guy...and certainly not a Vietnam patch guy...but...I found the page fascinating and good reading for any collector.

I remember a long time ago, at one of the very first SOS, there was a fella who gave a seminar on fake Nazi items...he made a very interesting statement that I still find amusing to this day...he confessed that he collected fake Nazi items because the worse thing that could happen was that an item could turn out to be real !!!

How's that for reverse logic !!!

Vic

Chris,
I'm always willing to help my fellow collectors. Now, if you'd just show up for one of the local club meetings, you could meet some more good guys.
