Hello,

I have got this dagger from a sir who couldn't tell me anything about this. He got the dagger from an old lady. Can anyone tell me something more about this dagger?

This is an extremely poor reproduction, in no way even close to an original.

Hi Dennis, and welcome among us.

I'm sorry but I must agree with the other notes below. The blade is definitely a forgery regarding the acid-etched inscription, the obverse SS motto and the so-called RZM mark. The blade itself does not appear to be of the period, nor does the handle. The crossguards, fittings and the scabbard may be genuine, and if so, they bear decades and decades of nicotine stain -- which neither the eagle or the SS button corroborate.

Default SSlovenly SS SSteel

SSorry about your SSlippery deal with a charlatan. The SSteel looks to be made with SSlag
from leftover used auto parts.

I am very sorry that nothing here is original and that you have been burned with this terrible reproduction. It can be a heartbreaking experience for an inexperienced or new collector and one that can turn you off the hobby from the outset. I hope that will not be the case for you and that your loss is not too significant. Please seek opinions before you buy unless you are dealing with a trusted reputable source. Buying from good dealers can seem a little expensive but I would always recommend it to anyone without a good deal of experience as paying somewhat more for a good piece is always going to be better than writing off a lot on a bad one. Good luck
