I am in no way an expert. However the collar "smaller" and cap badges "larger" range in price from $10 a piece upward to $75-$80 depending on unit. Some of the matched groups of insignia would go for more.It appears you have a mixture.

The medal groups could be 150-200 depending on unit.

USMC dog tags $30-40 unless the guy did something. The marine collectors are good at researching individuals and some dog tags could bring more.

Other tags if in sets WW1 might be $35 WW2 maybe $25. Again unless it is determined the guy did something

These are the prices at which some people might be willing to buy at.

It would be advisable to reach a reasonable per piece or per group price with the seller as you will no doubt end up with items that will not sell quickly

I see a WW1 victory medal with an Italy bar on it. If original that medal might bring $100 plus.

If it were me, I'd take the time to research some of the badges. the higher numbered badges - certainly any battalion numbered higher than '100' and maybe even some of the lower numbers can command a good price, as the later units recruited fewer men to begin with and were almost all rolled into the lower numbered units as reinforcements when they hit the UK, so some of the badges are quite rare.

Here are some current prices [in Cdn. dollars] from Arctic Medals in western Canada. i've dealt with the man [selling] and he seems like a straight shooter. The prices here - cap badges unless otherwise stated - are his selling price, so I'd guess you might get 50-60% of that selling. but don't quote me!

103 – cap badge $35.00, shoulder title - $40.00
108 - $90.00
183 - $40.00
184 - $100.00
229 - $90.00
44 - $75.00
68 - $65.00

http://www.arcticmedals.com/page/page/3730539.htm - his email address

Good luck!
Peter

Arctic Medals. LOL! Do you ever wonder why all of those badges just sit there? You can buy a 184 on ebay any given day of the week for well South of $75. 44th Batt? Easily a $40 badge on the high end. Just because a dealer asks those prices doesn't mean they are worth it!

Jack

As I said, my experience with Arctic medals has been me selling him things, for which I got what I felt were fair prices. I suppose perhaps I shouldn't have quoted him, as I'm not really up on WWI badge prices but I felt perhaps those price ranges would be a starting point for Robert. I would expect he'd do his own research on other sites as well before pricing the badges. but thanks for your comments. I'll keep them in mind should I decide to buy WWI stuff.

Sincerely,
Peter
