Default A Kriegsmarine Matrosenmuetze

My fellow collectors ,

Being a real helmet nut I do not know much about cloth headgear.
But I really have an interrest in Kriegsmarine stuff because two of
my great uncles and one of my granddads were serving in the german
navy.

Here I would like to show what came in yesterday : this cap is a true
attic find from my home town Linz.
A very nice sized 57 Matrosenmuetze , with no mothing but unfortunately
lacking both the Adler and the Kokarde.
I really would like to know what exactly I should find to "restore" this fine
cap.

Regards

Bernhard

Sweet piece. You just need the one piece eagle/cockade in metal.

Not the one piece, you can see the separate holes from the eagle pin and cocard. Nice cap!
